Ebenbild Taunus design flooring – fitness room in the basement

In the basement of a private residence in Mainz, we created a dedicated fitness room covering around 58 m² using Ebenbild design flooring in Taunus decor. The flooring with approx. 2.5 mm thickness and a 0.55 mm top layer was fully bonded in an irregular brick pattern.

Before installation, we levelled the substrate using levelling compound to create an even, load-bearing surface. The transition to the adjacent platform was executed precisely with corresponding additional effort.

The warm, natural wood look of the Taunus decor creates a deliberate contrast with the exposed concrete walls and mirror wall of the room. The result is a robust, easy-care and slip-resistant floor that permanently withstands the demands of a home gym – from rowing machine and racing bike trainer to mat and fascia training – whilst lending the room a homely atmosphere.
